Grenson + Heritage Research

Working with Heritage Research on this collection has been a wonderful experience because of their love of the authenticity and history of our shoes.

We have developed a collection together that perfectly marries their creative vision with ours and comes from the heart of our own long Heritage.

The shoes in the collection are all iconic styles in their own right and are the perfect example of classic design becoming contemporary and relevant today. They also represent the ultimate in quality shoemaking and the materials are second to none from the full grain calf leather to the "closed channel" Chestnut tanned soles.

"Heritage Research has proudly developed a range of shoes with Grenson for the Spring Summer 2012 season based upon authentic styles worn and popularised during the Vietnam War era including LIFE combat photographer Larry Burrows' classic correspondent style Long wing brogue. Other styles include the timeless Penny Loafer, a favourite for officer cadets and Ivy Leaguers, reinvigorated with an English Dainite sole and the quintessential American bowling shoe, often worn casually off duty by USAF crews with Hawaiian shirts.

This capsule collection offers the pinnacle of Grenson’s quality, made in Rushden by seasoned craftsmen, they are hand lasted using the finest leather and feature Goodyear welted closed channel soles, something usually only found on the highest grade of footwear."
